Phosphorus Food List
Phosphorus
Phosphorus in a mineral found in many foods. Renal patients can benefit from limiting their phosphorus intake to about one gram per day. Unfortunately, phosphorus is not listed on most food labels. Below is a list of foods separated by phosphorus amounts, to limit your diet.
When phosphorus is listed on a food label, it may be expressed as a percentage of a daily value. The guidelines included for daily values can help you decide whether a food is a good choice for you. Consult your renal dietitian if you are unsure of any foods.
